It seems we can forget about explicit sex scenes in inZOI

The developers of the upcoming life simulation game, inZOI, addressed fan inquiries regarding the depiction of intimate relationships. When questioned about the inclusion of sexual content, the assistant director provided an ambiguous response, avoiding the explicit term "sex," leaving players uncertain about the game's mechanics.

Essentially, the response suggested that intimate interactions occur implicitly. If male and female ZOIs retire to bed together, it's implied they intend to procreate; however, the visual representation is left to the player's interpretation.

The implication is there, but not in the way many anticipated.

Currently, the level of censorship regarding intimacy in inZOI remains unclear. It's uncertain whether it will mirror the approach used in The Sims series or employ a novel method.

The developers also explained the decision to depict ZOIs showering in towels instead of using pixelated censorship. They argued that towel-based depictions are more suitable for games with a cartoonish art style, while pixelation in a realistic style can appear overly sexualized. Furthermore, a technical issue arose: pixelated censorship failed to render correctly in reflections.

The game's rating provides further context. The ESRB has assigned a T (Teen) rating, and a PEGI 12 rating is anticipated. These ratings align with those given to The Sims 4.
