Get ready, racing fans! Kunos Simulazioni Studios is bringing Assetto Corsa EVO to Steam Early Access on January 16, 2025.
This initial release boasts an impressive lineup: 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks – Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite being in Early Access, expect highly realistic physics, precise handling, and authentic car behavior.
A standout feature is the free-roam mode, allowing for unrestricted exploration. A significant summer 2025 update promises a massive addition: a fully laser-scanned open world encompassing the legendary Nürburgring and its surrounding roads, spanning a breathtaking 1600 square kilometers, with further expansions planned.
Assetto Corsa EVO aims to challenge established racing simulation giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, promising photorealistic visuals and cutting-edge physics.
The full launch version will eventually include 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with continuous free updates adding even more content. Expect incredibly detailed track recreations, accurately simulating factors like tire wear and wet conditions, enhanced by realistic animated spectators.
Developers have also refined vehicle dynamics, suspension, and shock absorption. Early Access will feature the Driving Academy mode, a single-player challenge where players race against the clock on various tracks to earn a license unlocking access to the game's most prestigious cars.
