Guns Undarkness: A Blend of Stealth and Turn-Based Combat

The highly anticipated Guns Undarkness, featuring the musical talents of Shoji Meguro (Persona series and Metaphor: ReFantazio), Ilya Kuvshinov (Ghost in the Shell character artist), and rapper Lotus Juice (Persona 3), unveils a free demo at Steam Next Fest.

Meguro, a veteran composer at Atlus since 1995, transitioned to indie development in 2021 while continuing collaborations with Atlus. Guns Undarkness, initially showcased at Indie Live Expo Winter 2021 and successfully funded via Kickstarter in 2022, is a sci-fi stealth action JRPG published by Kodansha Game Creators Lab.

The demo, launching February 24th, 2025, offers a sneak peek into the game's core mechanics. Early access is slated for Spring 2025, promising approximately 10 hours of gameplay on PC.

Metal Gear Solid and Persona Inspired Gameplay

Guns Undarkness seamlessly blends stealth and turn-based combat. Navigate environments undetected, gaining a tactical edge in subsequent encounters. Engage in turn-based battles, strategically deploying commands and firearms to overcome adversaries.

The approximately 20-minute demo provides a comprehensive tutorial covering controls, battle systems, weapons, and early-game strategies. Set in a dystopian 2045, players assume the role of a private military company operative, embarking on missions to unravel the world's secrets and avert impending catastrophe. A precise release date for the full early access version remains unannounced.
