Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Completing the "Under the Straw Hat" Quest

To embark on the "Under the Straw Hat" quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll first need to reach Kuttenberg and initiate the "In Vino Veritas" quest. Once in Kuttenberg, locate Casper Rudolf, offering wine samples on the city's west side. He needs your help gathering information to improve his wine.

You can either directly approach Havel, impressing him with wine knowledge (requiring fine clothes and cleanliness), or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta. To impress Havel, choose "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It's missing ginger" as your dialogue options. Return to Casper with your findings.

Accessing the Vineyard

Next, Casper tasks you with infiltrating the vineyard north of Kuttenberg to investigate a specific incense. Avoid trespassing by following the main road, speaking to the recruiter who initiates the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Continue to find Jerome, informing him of your assigned task.

Working at the Vineyard

Your vineyard work begins the following day. You can either complete assigned tasks (moving sacks, picking thistles) for payment or proceed directly to the wine cellar (located downstairs in the main building) to find the incense. Access requires lockpicking or stealing Jerome's keys. Retrieve the Sulphur Wicks from the cellar chest to complete the main objective. Optionally, gather five seedlings for an increased reward (be mindful of trespassing). Return to Casper with your findings to complete both "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas," paving the way for quests like "Master Schindel’s Toys."
