Senior Game Designer Ondřej Bittner highlighted a new stealth mechanic impacted by accumulated dirt and grime, resulting in a "body odor" debuff that alerts nearby enemies. The inclusion of "handgonnes," historically accurate early firearms with their inherent inaccuracy and long reload times, adds another layer of authenticity, even if intended as a somewhat humorous element.

Warhorse Studios has outlined a post-launch roadmap featuring free updates and paid DLC throughout 2025. Free updates include a barber feature, hardcore mode, and horse racing (Spring 2025 release). Paid DLC will launch throughout the year, starting with "Brushes with Death" in Summer, "Legacy of the Forge" in Autumn, and "Mysteria Ecclesiae" in Winter.
