Warhorse Studios has released a significant free update, version 1.2, for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, boasting two major additions: native Steam Workshop mod integration and a brand-new barber shop system.

Steam Workshop integration streamlines mod installation, eliminating the need for third-party platforms. However, availability depends on mod creator participation. Currently, a few mods are available, including:

  • Free Saving: Unlimited saves by constantly replenishing "Saviour Schnapps."
  • Helmet of Henry VIII: A historically-inspired horned helmet.
  • Tourist: Disables NPC reactions to trespassing, opening access to restricted areas.
  • Pebbles the Zebra: Turns your horse into a zebra.

While the initial selection is small, the community is expected to rapidly expand the Steam Workshop offerings, supplementing the existing thousand-plus mods on Nexus Mods.

Beyond modding, players can now customize their appearance at barber shops in Rattay and Kuttenberg, with each visit temporarily boosting the protagonist's Charisma.

Update 1.2 encompasses far more than these features. Warhorse Studios reports over a thousand bug fixes and improvements across the game, including balance adjustments, refined animations, improved NPC behavior (especially the crime system), and revised, more realistic NPC daily schedules. Horse riding and trading mechanics have also received enhancements. Visual improvements and performance boosts are notable, particularly in Kuttenberg and during large battles. A developer livestream next Thursday will detail these changes further.

Three paid DLC expansions are planned for Spring, Summer, and Winter.

With Steam Workshop integration, cosmetic options, and numerous gameplay refinements, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II continues to evolve, offering players an increasingly immersive medieval experience.
