Official: Dungeonborne is preparing to shut down

Dungeonborne, the PvPvE action game drawing inspiration from the popular Dark and Darker, is shutting down. Less than a year after launch, the developers have announced an end of service and server closure, citing low player activity and a lack of substantial updates.

While the game's Steam page remains accessible via direct link, it's no longer searchable on the platform. Specific reasons for the shutdown haven't been publicly released, but the extremely low player count is clearly a major factor. Since late 2024, concurrent player numbers rarely exceeded 200, dwindling to a mere 10-15 players in recent days.

All Dungeonborne servers will be permanently offline as of May 28th, bringing a premature end to the project. Despite initial interest from fans of the genre, Dungeonborne ultimately failed to gain traction and will now fade into gaming history.
