Overwatch 2 Reveals New China-Exclusive Events

Overwatch 2's triumphant return to China on February 19th brings a wealth of rewards and exciting events for players. This relaunch includes opportunities to earn Battle Pass rewards from Seasons 1 through 9, participate in popular in-game events, and experience the game's content previously unavailable in the region.

The highly anticipated return, following a technical test in early January, promises a multi-week celebration. Players will be able to acquire Battle Pass rewards from Seasons 1 and 2 before the official launch, with rewards from Seasons 3 through 9 becoming available through in-game events post-launch.

Season 15: A Chinese Mythology Infusion?

Game director Aaron Keller hinted at Season 15 featuring skin bundles inspired by Chinese mythology. While specifics remain scarce, the possibility of entirely new skins, China-exclusive releases, or a broader thematic integration into Season 15's overall design is exciting. Further details are expected in early February, shortly before the season's February 18th launch.

The anticipation builds further with the ongoing Min 1, Max 3 6v6 test (January 21st - February 4th), offering classic 2-2-2 team composition. Lunar New Year and Moth Meta Overwatch: Classic events are also slated for pre-Season 15 enjoyment, though these may not be accessible to Chinese players until the official relaunch.
