Black Kyurem's Freeze Shock temporarily immobilizes wild Pokémon, making them much easier to catch, while White Kyurem's Ice Burn slows down the target ring, improving your accuracy for those coveted Excellent Throws. Both effects are extendable, offering up to 24 hours of enhanced catching power.

Don't forget the Tour Pass! This essential tool maximizes your event earnings. Earn Tour Points by catching Pokémon, completing raids, and hatching Eggs, or accelerate your progress with quick Pass Tasks. Reaching Major Milestones rewards you with increased Catch XP and extended durations for Freeze Shock or Ice Burn. For even bigger bonuses, consider upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe, which includes an immediate Victini encounter, extra event-themed encounters, a stylish avatar item, and the new Lucky Trinket. This one-time-use item guarantees a Lucky Friendship with a friend, enhancing your next trade.

During the event, challenge Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in five-star raids to acquire Fusion Energy. Fuse Zekrom or Reshiram with a Kyurem knowing Glaciate to replace it with Freeze Shock or Ice Burn. Remember, these moves revert to Glaciate once the Pokémon are separated, and they can't be learned via Charged TMs or Elite Charged TMs.

You'll also select an event badge: Black Version (Reshiram) or White Version (Zekrom). The Black Version rewards Reshiram-themed Special Research and grants Glaciate to Kyurem encountered after defeating Black Kyurem. The White Version offers Zekrom-themed Special Research and similarly grants Glaciate to Kyurem encountered after defeating White Kyurem.
