Pokémon GO May 2025 Roadmap Revealed: Expect Surprises!

May 2025 in Pokémon GO is shaping up to be one of the most exciting months of the year, packed with legendary raids, Mega Evolutions, and a variety of limited-time events that trainers won’t want to miss. The highlight? The long-awaited return of the Lake Trio—Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf—making their grand comeback in 5-Star Raids across different global regions.

What’s Happening in Pokémon GO This May 2025?
The month kicks off with Tapu Fini taking over 5-Star Raids from May 1st to May 12th. This Guardian of Poni Island will appear with the exclusive move Nature’s Madness and bring a Shiny variant for collectors to hunt.

Starting May 12th, the Lake Trio makes its regional return. Trainers in the Asia-Pacific region will face Uxie, while those in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India will encounter Mesprit. Meanwhile, trainers in the Americas and Greenland will battle Azelf. Each of these Psychic-type legends will appear in 5-Star Raids, offering a rare chance to catch them and add them to your roster.

Once the Lake Trio leaves, Tapu Bulu steps in from May 25th to June 3rd, also featuring Nature’s Madness and a Shiny form, continuing the tapu-themed excitement.

Mega Raids Light Up the Month
Mega Raid enthusiasts have plenty to look forward to. Mega Houndoom leads the charge from May 1st to May 12th, bringing fiery power to battles. Then, from May 12th to May 25th, Mega Gyarados dominates the skies with its fearsome presence. The Mega action wraps up with Mega Altaria, available from May 25th to June 3rd.
