August is packed with exciting updates in Pokémon Go, leading up to the Cosy Companions event and Munchlax Hatch Day. Two major additions—the Go Pass: August and Ultra Unlock: Origin Raid Day—are launching soon.
Starting August 5th, the Pokémon Go Pass returns with Moltres taking center stage, following Articuno's debut in June. As always, you'll collect Go Points to increase your rank and earn rewards such as Stardust, XP, and Poké Balls. The Deluxe version offers enhanced perks, including a Super Incubator, bonus encounters, and premium items like Lure Modules and Battle Passes.
Reach Rank 75 on the Deluxe track to receive a Lucky Trinket. This special item lets you designate one friend as a Lucky Friend immediately—no Best Friend status required. Remember, it’s a single-use item expiring on September 7th, so choose your trading partner carefully.

On August 10th, the Ultra Unlock: Origin Raid Day brings back Dialga and Palkia in their Origin Formes. Both have a chance to be Shiny and come equipped with their signature moves, Roar of Time and Spacial Rend. These moves unlock powerful Adventure Effects that can pause timers or extend encounter ranges for up to 24 hours.
