Ubisoft's unannounced Project U has had a turbulent journey. Leaks began circulating in 2022 following closed beta testing, resurfacing two years later, hinting at ongoing development. Recently, a leaked introductory cinematic, shared by gaming blogger Shaun Weber—known for his leaks—has further fueled speculation. Weber suggests more leaks are possible if development continues.

Project U is anticipated to be a session-based co-op shooter, reportedly inspired by Helldivers 2. The leaked cinematic depicts an alien invasion of Earth, with players assuming the roles of humanity's defenders against this extraterrestrial threat.

Despite the leaks, Ubisoft remains officially silent on Project U's release date and formal announcement.
