The new Resident Evil 6 remaster might be coming soon

The ESRB has updated the rating for Resident Evil 6, confirming its Mature 17+ rating and adding Xbox Series X|S to the list of supported platforms.

Initially released in 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Resident Evil 6 received a remastered edition in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This new listing strongly suggests an upcoming release for both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, though official confirmation is pending.

Speculation is rife regarding the differences between this new version and the previous remaster. Currently, the only visible alteration is in the game's genre description.
