Sony has announced Mukti, a new title for PlayStation 5 and PC, developed under its Sony India Hero Project.
Mukti is a first-person narrative adventure set in an Indian museum. Developer underDOGS Studio describes it as a profound exploration of human trafficking, a pressing social issue.

In Mukti, players traverse the intricate halls of a museum, unraveling the stark realities and hidden stories of human trafficking. Through compelling narratives and immersive gameplay, Mukti challenges players to engage with the struggles of victims and survivors, illuminating a critical global concern.
Inspired by real-life accounts and thoroughly researched historical contexts, Mukti seeks to educate, provoke reflection, and inspire change. Every interaction is crafted to foster empathy, encourage conversation, and drive impact.
underDOGS Studio is collaborating with PlayStation to optimize the PS5 DualSense controller’s haptics and adaptive triggers, enhancing subtle vibrations for immersive puzzle-solving moments.
The studio also shared preliminary PC specifications for Mukti.

The Steam version of Mukti will feature achievements, family sharing, and full controller support.
In a PlayStation Blog post, Vaibhav Chavan, founder and game director at underDOGS Studio, expressed pride in Sony’s support.
“Mukti’s inclusion in the esteemed Sony India Hero Project has empowered us to realize our vision and reinforced our belief that Indian narratives deserve a global platform,” Chavan stated.
“After more than a year of collaboration with Sony’s exceptional team, the experience has been incredibly enriching. We’re excited to finally share a preview of our work.”
Sony’s global Hero Project initiatives seek the next major externally developed hit for PlayStation, offering studios development, publishing, and marketing support. Lost Soul Aside, for instance, is an upcoming title from the China Hero Project.
