Stalker 2: How To Get The Unique Cavalier Rifle

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl boasts a diverse arsenal, allowing players to tailor their loadout to their preferred combat style. Beyond standard firearms, unique weapon variants with enhanced stats and modifications are scattered throughout the game. The Cavalier sniper rifle is one such prized find. This distinctive weapon features a red-dot sight instead of a traditional scope, making it exceptionally effective at close to medium ranges. Here's how to acquire this powerful addition to your inventory.

Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle

The Cavalier can be located near the Military Unit within the Duga base. Specifically, it's hidden inside a warehouse connected to a greenhouse. If you've previously retrieved the Journalist's stash from Duga, accessing this area should be straightforward via the secondary entrance.

Accessing the Warehouse

Upon entering Duga, navigate towards the Military Unit building (as indicated on your map). You don't need to enter the building itself; instead, circumvent it to reach the greenhouse at the rear. Be wary, as two Pseudogiants patrol this area and will attack on sight. Approach the greenhouse cautiously to avoid unnecessary conflict.

Proceed through the greenhouse into the warehouse. Upon entry, prepare for a rodent infestation; numerous rats will spawn, rapidly depleting your health. Utilize the elevated green platforms at the back of the warehouse to gain a tactical advantage and avoid the rat swarms. Consider using a grenade to quickly eliminate the threat.

Retrieving the Cavalier

Once the rats are dealt with, focus your attention on the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. You'll spot wooden boards painted yellow. Destroy these boards using your weapon to reveal the Cavalier sniper rifle, which will drop down.

Secure the weapon and safely exit Duga. The Cavalier can then be upgraded by Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy are further enhanced through upgrades and modifications. For players who prefer red-dot sights over traditional scopes, the Cavalier offers a compelling alternative for close to medium-range engagements.
