Koei Tecmo unveils a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game spin-off of their popular fighting game franchise. Launching March 27th on PS5, PS4, and PC, a special Asian "global version" will include English text support.
The game features mini-games, character customization, and a vibrant tropical island setting. Developers highlight numerous opportunities to build relationships with the heroines and become fully immersed in the romantic narrative.
Venus Vacation PRISM promises a fresh experience for Dead or Alive fans, offering a departure from the series' core fighting mechanics while retaining its signature style.
However, this creative expansion contrasts sharply with Koei Tecmo's ongoing efforts to combat fan-created adult content. Annually, the publisher removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and 2,000-3,000 images depicting the game's characters. This persistent takedown effort underscores the tension between fan appreciation and the developer's control over their intellectual property, even amidst the popularity of the series' distinctive characters and their often-swimsuit-clad fighting styles.
