WoW: Anniversary Currency Redemption Window Extended

World of Warcraft's Patch 11.1 will automatically convert leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. This conversion, at a rate of 1 Bronze Celebration Token to 20 Timewarped Badges, will occur upon players' first login after the patch's release.

The 20th-anniversary event, concluding on January 7th, offered players numerous Bronze Celebration Tokens used for purchasing Tier 2 sets and anniversary items. Any remaining tokens will now be automatically exchanged for Timewarped Badges, the currency used in Timewalking events. Blizzard confirmed these tokens will not be used again. This automatic conversion prevents players from having useless currency entries.

While a precise release date for Patch 11.1 is unavailable, February 25th is a strong possibility, aligning with Blizzard's recent update schedule and following the conclusion of the Plunderstorm and Turbulent Timeways events (ending February 17th and 24th respectively). This means the conversion will likely happen after the second Turbulent Timeways event. Timewarped Badges can be used in various Timewalking campaigns, with no planned removal of purchasable rewards.

Key Points:

  • Automatic Conversion: Unused Bronze Celebration Tokens will automatically convert to Timewarped Badges (20:1 ratio).
  • Conversion Trigger: Conversion happens on first login after Patch 11.1.
  • No Future Use: Bronze Celebration Tokens will not be used in future events.
  • Likely Patch Release: February 25th is a probable release date for Patch 11.1.
  • Timewarped Badge Utility: Timewarped Badges remain valuable for Timewalking events.
