Rinascita offers numerous intriguing puzzles, including the challenging Morph Paintings. These paintings are integral to two puzzle types: Overflowing Palettes and straightforward restoration tasks.
Morph Painting restoration puzzles are relatively simple yet rewarding, providing valuable resources like Astrites. This guide outlines the mechanics, locations, and solutions for these puzzles.
Restoring Morph Paintings involves correctly placing paintings onto designated pedestals. Examine the pedestal descriptions, locate the matching portrait, and use the Levitator utility to position it. The game usually automatically equips the Levitator, but you can manually select it using Tab or the D-Pad Left.
Currently, two such puzzles exist, integrated into the "Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise" and "Trials of Old" quests.
This puzzle, within the "Shadows of the Past" questline in Resounding Rise (one of the three Thorncrown - Thessaleo Falls towers), requires the following steps (using the central painting as a reference):
Completing this puzzle unlocks a chest and allows quest progression.
Located in the "Trial of Wisdom" within the "Trials of Old" quest (near Porto-Veno Castle in eastern Thessaleo Fells), this puzzle demands arranging paintings on pedestals to create a narrative sequence from left to right. The solution is depicted in the image above.
A simple way to verify correct placement is to observe the painting frame; it illuminates upon successful placement. This shortcut bypasses the puzzle's core mechanic.
