Many Marvel Rivals players are experiencing extended shader compilation times on launch. This guide offers a solution to expedite this process.

Addressing Slow Shader Compilation in Marvel Rivals

Game loading times, especially for online titles, can vary. However, Marvel Rivals PC players are encountering significant delays due to lengthy shader compilation. Shaders are crucial programs regulating aspects like color and lighting in 3D environments. Incorrect shader installation can lead to various problems.

A community-discovered workaround effectively addresses this issue:

  1. Access Nvidia Control Panel: Locate and open your Nvidia control panel.
  2. Adjust Shader Cache Size: Navigate to the global settings and find the Shader Cache Size option.
  3. Set a Lower Value: Select a shader cache size value less than or equal to your VRAM. The available options are limited (5GB, 10GB, 100GB), so choose the most appropriate setting for your system.

This method significantly reduces shader compilation time, often bringing it down to a few seconds. It also resolves the "Out of VRAM memory" error reported by some players.

While a permanent fix from NetEase is awaited, this temporary solution prevents considerable time wasted during game launches.

Marvel Rivals is currently available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
