The developers of REPO have unveiled their roadmap for upcoming features, including a "duck bucket" mechanic to prevent the game's notorious waterfowl from eliminating players. Discover more about these planned updates and how the creator of Lethal Company views this emerging horror title.

REPO's inaugural update introduces both a fresh map and an ingenious "duck bucket" solution to neutralize the game's most unpredictable threat. Semiwork Studios showcased these developments in a March 15 YouTube announcement detailing their short-term plans.
This six-player cooperative horror game challenges teams to carefully collect items within terrifying environments. Players must contend with The Apex Predator - a seemingly harmless yellow duck that transforms into a deadly monster when disturbed, attacking relentlessly for ten seconds before resetting.
The upcoming duck bucket provides a reliable method to contain this unpredictable adversary while preventing accidental activation by teammates. The update also brings enhanced character expressions and various gameplay refinements.

Semiwork Studios revealed "The Museum," a new parkour-focused map with clearly marked extraction zones to indicate valid loot boundaries. This architectural challenge will test players' navigation skills amidst the horror.
The team is also developing public lobbies based on player feedback: "While most players support public/private matchmaking with kick functionality, implementing server-side features represents new technical territory for our studio," developers explained, noting this complex feature may experience delays.
Since its February launch, REPO has drawn comparisons to Lethal Company for its shared horror-coop mechanics. On March 15, Zeekers (Lethal Company's creator) offered thoughtful critique via Twitter/X, highlighting areas for improvement.
"REPO delivers fun despite initial reservations," Zeekers noted. "Coordinating grand piano transport through haunted mansions creates brilliant horror-comedy moments." He later expanded: "Two key suggestions: 1) Expand voice chat range and reduce audio muffling 2) Cramped environments work better than open spaces - the mansion layout truly shines."

Addressing stealth mechanics, Zeekers added: "Players need clearer ways to understand enemy behavior patterns, though I suspect this is already in development."
Currently ranking as Steam's #2 top seller behind Counter-Strike 2, REPO has peaked at 230,645 concurrent players - nearing Lethal Company's record. This PC-exclusive horror phenomenon continues evolving, with full details available in our coverage below.
