Techland Expands Dying Light 2 with Free Tower Raid Roguelite Mode

Dying Light 2's thrilling new Tower Raid mode is now live, offering a roguelite-inspired challenge unlike any other. This dynamic mode, extensively tested in 2024, provides a completely fresh perspective on the game's infected world.

Players won't control Aiden Caldwell; instead, they'll choose from four unique warrior classes—Tank, Brawler, Ranger, and Specialist—each with distinct abilities encouraging diverse strategies and collaborative gameplay. For a heightened challenge, players can even tackle the tower solo or with a reduced team.

The mode boasts three difficulty levels (Quick, Normal, and Elite), impacting run intensity and duration. Procedurally generated levels ensure every playthrough is unique, demanding adaptability to survive shifting layouts and unpredictable enemy encounters.

A new progression system ensures failure fuels success. Each failed attempt unlocks new abilities and weapons, gradually increasing chances of victory. A mysterious merchant, Sola, awaits within, offering rare rewards such as the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol to worthy players.

Techland's commitment to Dying Light 2's ongoing evolution continues throughout 2025, even with the upcoming release of Dying Light: The Beast. Future updates will focus on enhancing co-op, refining matchmaking, integrating community maps, adding new Tower Raid characters and weapons (including a new weapon class), improving the prologue, and implementing significant graphical and technical upgrades.
